Trials
Upon reaching 400 posts, a player has met one of the conditions required to unlock their final class promotion. Though in reality they've unlocked the opportunity to undergo a “Trial”, a thread by which their prowess and worth will be judged to see if they truly deserve the ancient power that comes with an Overclass.
Trial threads are entirely player choice, and players have a bit more freedom with these threads than with most. Monsters that otherwise wouldn't be allowed to be spawned may be spawned. A player can offer up an idea for a new dungeon and have their trial take place within. The thread can be solo, duo, open, whichever they prefer. Trials can be a completely random event or part of a deeply interwoven character plot. All that matters is that the combat prowess of the character must be tested.
Once a Trial has been completed the character will have access to an alter, depending on their class, and will receive ancient power from said alter. It is then, and only then, that they have earned the right to their Overclass.
