Personality: A quiet but deliberate young man, Alistair both looks up highly to his older siblings yet detests the notion of following their paths in life. He's a man who does greatly love his family but also enjoys time by himself. Having been taught how to fight by both of his elder siblings, he consistently hones his skills so as to ensure he can keep the family homestead safe, especially his curious younger sister.

Alistair has a bit of wanderlust to him. Though he was content at the homestead he wants to see all that Valentia has to offer, including it's deeper dungeons. He wants to meet people from across the border, and has even fancied becoming a sellsword out in Sanctuary. He does get a good rush out of combat, but it's travel that he's more interested in than actual battle. That said he's had to balance these desires with being a responsible brother, given that his elder siblings spend most of the year abroad thanks to their titles.

While relatively easy-going, he could be seen as apathetic. Alistair isn't the type to rush to someone's aid, nor is he the type to go about lecturing anyone. People who know him find it hard to believe he's even related to Desmond or Erinys, and both his siblings have lectured him on his laziness on multiple occasions. As one may expect he's got a touch of a dismissive, sarcastic streak, but it's very rarely malicious.

Surprisingly good cook, and has a tendency to start cleaning the area he's in when bored.

History: Alistair is the second youngest of the four Veger children. His younger sister is Mira. His elder brother Desmond and elder sister Erinys are both esteemed knights, leaders of the Drakengard and White Templars respectively. Despite this the Veger family is one of little renown, with no traceable noble heritage whatsoever.

The Veger children's parents perished young from sickness. This left teenage Desmond and younger Erinys to take care of Alistair, who was a child then, and Mira who was barely a toddler. Immediately realizing the family would need income Desmond took to the military. It was his drive to provide for his family that led to his slow, but sure, rise through the ranks. When Erinys was of age she did the same, to make certain that her younger siblings wouldn't have to make the same sacrifice. In time Erinys too came to a position of high esteem, equal that of her brother.

Alistair, as such, spent most of his teenage years caring for Mira and looking after the house. When his elder siblings were home they oft greeted him with intense sparring sessions for the duration of their stay. He was the only one left to defend the house, after all. In time Mira had begun to practice magic, however, and any trouble that came along was dealt with by the two of them.

Things would not stay this way for long. Desmond and Erinys' visits came less and less frequent, while both Alistair and Mira grew more and more restless. Mira eventually told Alistair she wanted to visit Citadel and Archaneum, to decide which one she would stay at.

After giving it some thought, Alistair obliged. The two wrote letters to their elder siblings and were off.
