Beneath the sluice gates at the west and east ends of the Norther/Southern border lies an old series of aqueducts. Though they were never expanded or utilized as intended, they are very much not-forgotten by some denizens of Valentia...namely Terrors. Some even make their way up from the depths and out of the sluice gates proper.
