The first knight order to be founded after Alm I unified Valentia, the Brotherhood of Knights has since expanded into many sub-orders within the main force. These are, put simply, Valentia’s finest. Each sub-order specializes in a different area and are each relegated to their own specific tasks.
(Note: You don’t have to be one of the “main units” to join a specific knight order.)
Valentian Royal Knights
While not the largest order, the Royal Knights are perhaps the most important. Their task is to protect the Valentian royal family. A detachment from their order always remains alongside the royal family regardless of where they go, and not a single member of the family goes unguarded. While the Royal Knights have the absolute highest standards for entry, some naturally see the job as a relatively easy one, as the Valentian royals are not often involved in danger or combat.
Leader: Knight Captain Worick Harlaw (Gold Knight)
Main Units: Cavalier line, Pegasus line, Warrior line
Drakengard
As the Valentian royal family tend to reside in Castle Valentia, seated in the Zofian fiefdom, Castle Rigel tends to be without a proper royal or at least a direct heir. While the ruler of Castle Rigel, be they a Prince, Princess, or Chancellor, will always be protected by their own detachment of the Royal Knights, Castle Rigel is defended by the Drakengard. Reminiscent of the old Rigelian army, the Drakengard are proud and fierce. However whispers on the wind say that their loyalty to the crown has begun to waver…

Main Units: Soldier line, Archer line, Cavalier line
White Templars
Knights that specialize in the eradication of Terrors. Though they can certainly clash well with human foes, their sole purpose is to contain the growing Terror threat across all of Valentia. When the need arises they even dive headlong into Dungeons to purge them of their Voidborn denizens. No other knight order suffers the same mortality, nor has one ever. As such many are deterred from enlisting, though the order marches on regardless.
Leader: Grand Master Erinys Veger (Seraph Knight)
Main Units: Pegasus line, Mercenary line, Spellthief line
Gold Lions
The largest of all the orders within the Brotherhood, the Gold Lions are the primary defense AND offense of all Valentia.They serve not one purpose, but all purposes. They lend their aid to the other orders when necessary, protect the land, villages, and cities for all of Valentia. The Gold Lions are by far the most varied when it comes the members of their forces, given their need for versatility.
Leader: 1st Ranger Wolfe Wallace
Main Units: Every and Any
Wardens of Dawn
The smallest order, even moreso than the White Templars. The Wardens of Dawn stand vigil around the holy God’s Tree, a symbol of Valentia’s very heart. As the tree is ripe with magic there is always the risk that Terrors will come to consume and corrupt the tree. The Wardens exist to dispel that threat should it ever arise.
Leader: Commander Thea Owens
Main Units: Mercenary line, Archer line, Cleric line
